Music: Count Us In - November 5th, 12.30pm

Music: Count Us In counts down to Celebration Day:  November 5th, 12.30pm

Dear Ivanhoe Primary School Community,

All classes at IPS are making great progress at learning this year’s Music: Count Us In song, ‘You Won’t Bring Us Down’ in Auslan.

Celebration Day begins with 30 mins pre-performance entertainment (pre-cut footage), showing how your students have engaged with the program and program song. We then invite you to join us in a ’10 second countdown’ before launching into the 1st performance of the song ‘You Wont Bring Us Down’.In 2020, with an emphasis on themes of INCLUSION and RESILIENCE, there will be 3 versions of the song performed (one after the other) as follows:

  • Performance 1 - The Program Song (Lead by Cairns Schools, QLD)
  • Performance 2 - Auslan Translation of the Song (Lead by RIDBC Thomas Pattison School, NSW)
  • Performance 3 - Indigenous Language (Wajarri) version of the song - ‘Yamatji Remix’ (Lead by schools of the Yamatji Region, WA)

Families, classes and individuals can register online at Music: Count Us In https://musicaustralia.org.au/program/countusin/

You will then receive a link before the event to connect you with the live stream performances.
