GARDENING CLUB IS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN

This week our Gardening Club started up again after such a long time.  Our garden beds have been refreshed with new soil and we even have one more garden bed for the gardeners to enjoy. As usual, the children were full of enthusiasm and eager to participate so we didn't waste time and got straight to the job of planting. How fabulous to see the students planting their seedlings. We have peas in one bed, yellow beans in another one and bright flowers in the third one. Our fourth garden bed is still happily providing lots of spinach and rainbow chard.

The experience in the garden today led to more discussion than just planting. We talked about the need to support the plants and so we have put in some stakes for our beans and peas to hold on to. And then ... we found a little lizard which immediately distracted everyone from the job at hand, of course!

We had a truly lovely day back in the garden. Here are some photos for you to enjoy , taken by Leonardo ... a very capable gardener and photographer, it seems!)
