The Trinity Staff enjoying Book Week

Dear families

The school continues to be a happy and harmonious place with everyone so settled we've almost forgotten we had been away for so long. The focus continues on Wellbeing, Literacy and Numeracy which this week has been wrapped around Book Week.

This week has been full of fun activites with the children enjoying Meerkat Productions on Monday.  On Tuesday our senior students were spellbound by Author Bic Walker who shared the story of her and her family's journey from Vietnam to Australia and today our Middle and junior students were thoroughly entertained by Michael Wagner.

More Book Week details are included on the following page.

A huge thankyou to Annabelle Marinelli and Barbara Shaw for the enormous amount of work organising this week, and to our library leaders Mailys, Kathy, Edom and Maggie (pictured below) for helping to faciliate.

Don't forget next Monday is Dress up Day.

Footy Colours Day today was full of colour.  As we are in Richmond I think it's safe to say  ..... GO TIGES. Don't forget it's a holiday tomorrow.

Planning 2021

If you are not planning to return to Trinity in 2021 could you please email me as we are planning for next year.

Trinity Times is now a PODCAST

Thanks to Finn, Abol and Ford for   sharing Trinity news

Religious Education

This term in Religious Education we continue to engage in learning around the whole school scripture Luke 1: 39- 56, Mary Visits Elizabeth

Mary Visits Elizabeth.

During those days Mary set out and travelled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lordshould come to me?

For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.

Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.”

Students from Foundation to Year 6 will investigate this piece of scripture using images and prior knowledge to support and develop their thinking. Later we will make connections with the Christmas Story.

Also to let everyone know that following discussions with Father Huy, it has been decided that we will need to postpone all the Sacraments for 2020 and transfer them to 2021. We will let you know early next year of the arrangements for this.

Day for Daniel

Day for Daniel is on Friday 30 October.

Trinity's  has an ongoing commitment to child safety and supporting the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. Again this year on Friday 30th October, we will wear something red and make a gold coin donation.

The children  will  watch the  Daniel Morcombe safety video and complete some activities to follow up and reinforce this very important safety message.

Wishing everyone a relaxing long weekend
