Preps Update
Term 4 Week 3
This week in Literacy, preps have been exploring information texts about animals and revisiting the formation of letters in handwriting. In numeracy we have looked at sharing, area and revising addition and subtraction.
We continue to revisit the tribes agreements and working cooperatively in groups during learning through play and when in the yard.
A reminder that we need to wear our hats in term 4 when outside and we also need our drink bottles. It is thirsty work when playing and learning!
We hope everyone enjoys the much needed long weekend!
PKS
PKS have had a lovely week! We have been digging in the garden to find any evidence of living things and have started to learn how to take notes when learning about different things.
In maths we tackled an open ended problem and used materials to help.
PHS
We had so much fun looking for animals in the orchard.
We saw bees, ants, cabbage moths and earwigs.
PAF
Digging in the dirt exploring for animals and other interesting finds. We then wrote about our experiences independently focussing on writing structures.
PAC
PAC enjoying mindfulness mediation of quiet breathing to clear our minds whilst listening to calming and relaxing nature sounds.
Most of all, making up for lost time... by having heaps of fun reconnecting with our classmates.
PAK
We enjoyed spending some time outside reading books about animals and sharing some of the things we discovered.
Sorting animal figurines according to their habitats
Using magnifying glasses to look closely at our toy animals
