Year 4/5MG

Religion

During recent Learning from Home and on our return to school this week,

4/5MG have been learning about Mary, the Mother of Jesus.

We watched several short videos and took notes about her life and values.

The students supplemented their knowledge by researching more about Mary

as a mother and how she lived her life and her relationships with others.

The students also worked in small groups to write a poem using

Figurative Language to show Mary’s many qualities.

Mary, Mother of Jesus

Her smile is as bright as the full moon.

She was as cool as a cucumber as she cared for baby Jesus.

Her kindness radiated like sunbeams to warm everyone around her.

Mary loved and protected her child as a tiger would defend her cubs.

A woman, beautiful inside and out like a perfect portrait.

Such belief and trust in her son as  a life saver to protect others.

Standing tall as a giraffe in pride at doing the right thing!

Mary Mother of God

By Abi, Michelle, Paris and Adelia from 4/5MG

Mary was a bright spark to people around her

She was as caring as a dolphin, as she looked after Jesus

She is faithful as a dog, as God relied on her to be the mother of Jesus

Mary had a heart of gold, as she was loving to anyone she cared for.

She was as gentle as a lamb, as she never got angry at anyone

Even when there was a fork in the road, she kept on going

Mary is as positive as a quokka, because she was still saw good in everything

She was an admired figure to all, an enemy to none

She is Mary, Mother of God.
