School Council Meeting Report

Despite being plagued by illness this week, the School Council managed to make quorum for our 3rd meeting of the year on Wednesday 18th May.

Building & Grounds

The Newlands Friday Gardening Social Club (NFGSC) is running every second Friday after school. Crack out those gardening gloves and come along to help us keep our grounds looking loved! Next meeting is this Friday 20th May. All are welcome.

OOSHC 

Five casual positions are currently being advertised for the OOSHC program. Attendance numbers continue to be lower than expected in the program.

PFA

The PFA have been very busy over the last few weeks. 

The Outdoor Cinema night on the 13th of May raised almost $3000 for the STEAM program. This was an exceptional effort for all involved. This Saturday the PFA will host a democracy BBQ and cake stall at the school for voters. 

Council are grateful for the hard work of the parents involved in the PFA. The funds raised are a huge support to the school. 

Education sub-committee

The education sub-committee are interested in learning more about celebration and reflection days that are important to families within our beautiful school community. A survey will soon be shared to collate this information.
