F/1

In Performing Arts, Dance has been the main focus in all lessons. We have incorporated the Inquiry topic for this term 'I like to move it, move it', focusing on Las Fuerzas (The Forces), such as formas, empuja, tira y bota (shapes, push, pull and bounce) in Spanish.

Exploring movements such as 'Las Fuerzas' (The Forces) with our bodies was great. We began to use props succh as cintas y bufandas (ribbons and scarves) to explore movements and create shapes and dance sequences independently and collaboratively.

Dance has been the main focus for Performing Arts this term. We have incorporated the Inquiry topic for this term, 'Mega motions', focusing on Las Fuerzas (The Forces), such as empuja, tira, atrae, repela, desliza, roda y bota (push, pull, attract, repel, slide, roll and bounce) in Spanish.

We have enjoyed watching engaging performances which demonstrate movements and forces within dance choreography.  We collaborated in pairs to begin to create simple dance sequences of 8 beats, showing the forces in movements. We then joined another pair, to make a small group and cooperate in sharing our dance sequences and joining these to make a small choreography. We will be filming and sharing this choreography with the community on Seesaw.

4/5/6

The main focus in Performing Arts for this term, has been Dance. We have incorporated the Inquiry topic for this term, 'Flash and Transformers', focusing on Las Luces (The lights) such as Espejo/Reflejo (Mirror/Reflection), Sombra (Shadow), Luces de UV (UV Lights), Luces de LED (LED Lights) in Spanish.

We were inspired by watching stimulating Dance performances from shows such as 'The X Factor, Birtain/America's got talent and so on. We were exploring the effects the different types of light had on the overall choreography and performance. We then worked on creating our dance sequences using the range of lights explored as a stimulus.

We began with Espejo/reflejo (Mirror/Reflection). We created and developed creative dance sequences and mini choreography, representing a 'Mirror/Reflection' idea. We will continue to explore and create other dance sequences to show Sombra (Shadow) and Luces de UV/LED (UV/LED Lights). Check our our Espejo/Reflejo (Mirror/Reflection) videos on Seesaw!
