From the Principal

Yesterday we celebrated the school’s birthday! It has been 18 years since a group of passionate and enthusiastic community members convened a meeting to discuss a school in Moama. The product of their dream and vision is the wonderful school we have the great privilege to be a part of today.

The service yesterday was a celebration of our talented musicians, thoughtful reflection from the Moama Anglican Grammar Board Chair, Dr Sydney Paul, the acknowledgement of the service of past Board Chair and Board member Mr Craig Smith and the acknowledgement of staff who have served the school for 5, 10 or 15 years.  We also enjoyed the reflection of past student Emma Lewis (nee Perry) and her reflection of her time as a student and her pathway since then.

However, what I was really proud of, and was commented on by many people after the service, was the focus and attention of the students. For our youngest students, sitting on mats on the ground, listening attentively for an extended period is challenging but they were wonderful.  Our secondary students were also fabulous.

We are very fortunate to have the wonderful school we do, but a school is not the buildings and grounds, it is the people.
