"Healthy Kids Learn Better"

Dear Parents/Guardians,

National Scoliosis Awareness Month - June 2022. The health Centre would like to provide you with information on Scoliosis. The treatment of scoliosis is changing from operation to early detection and bracing. We all know early detection is an effective tool to correct some human conditions, Scoliosis is one of them.

Find attached factsheet with information designed specifically for parents.

The link provided will take you to Scoliosis Australia website if you wish to broaden your knowledge on the subject.

Welcome to Scoliosis Australia – Website (scoliosis-australia.org)

DOCUMENTATION

  • DOCUMENTATION - It is of utmost importance that our school is provided with up to date information. Documentation that is required has been sent to the relevant families, most recently via email. Please complete and return to the Health Centre as soon as possible.

MEDICATION

  • MEDICATION - Occasionally, students require medication while they are at school. In order to administer medication to students a Medication Authority form needs to be completed with a parent’s signature. Medications are to be provided to the school in original packaging with pharmacy labels intact. Tablet sleeves need to have the full name of the medication and expiry date intact.

AMBULANCE COVER

  • AMBULANCE COVER - A reminder, in the event of an emergency, either by accident / injury or illness, the college will call an ambulance. Please ensure your child is covered by ambulance cover if you do not have a Health Care Card. The costs incurred for an ambulance will be the responsibility of the respective parents/guardians.

COVID 19

Please be vigilant with COVID 19 sign & symptoms, if your child is unwell do not send them to school until the symptoms have resolved.

We need to keep each other safe so life can return to some sort of normality.

Many thanks,

The Health Centre Team
