Year 6 have been using their knife license skills to dice onion for their vegetable and Indian spiced samosa filling. Students enjoyed making their own pastry, rolling the pastry out, and filling it to create delicious-looking pockets. Just 15 minutes in the oven and they were served with a tomato chili jam. No leftovers were to be seen.

We have also prepared fried rice served in coz lettuce cups. Absorption rice is a technique that most students have now perfected, and once cooked was added to a combination of vegetables and soy sauce. We were fortunate  (thank you Tess) to have a harvest from our own garden of lemongrass and galangal that gave our fried rice an extra kick of deliciousness!
