Parking Changes 

Parking around the school is changing soon

The City of Melbourne is making changes to parking on Murphy Street and Harcourt Street which run alongside NMPS in late May or early June. This will help to address ongoing safety concerns and issues that parents raised in the Driving to School survey in March.

From late May, changes will include:

Disability permit bays

1. Murphy Street: relocated and lengthened 
2. Harcourt Street: lengthened and curb access ramp added. 

New Drop Off & Pick Up Zones (Marked bright pink and enforced)

1. 4 bays on Murphy Street (near Garden Gate 
2. 7 new bays on Harcourt Street (near Flex Gate) 

1/4P Short Stay 

1. 10 bays on Harcourt Street (near Reception Gate)
2. 2 bays in front of Biz-e-Kidz (end of Murphy Street)

Drop Off & Pick Up Zones

Staff will supervise students arriving and waiting to be picked up. The zones will work as an airport taxi rank. You cannot park and leave your car in these zones.

If we all follow the signs, these changes will improve safety and access for everyone.

We will let families know when new signs will be installed once we have dates confirmed by City of Melbourne.
