This week the company were learning Hakuna Matata and Can You Feel The Love Tonight and they did a terrific job.  

NEXT MONDAY - RECESS - NON PERFORMERS

I would like to meet with all our NON PERFORMERS at recess next MONDAY.   Last week we secured 4 radio mics and on occasion may be able to run up to 6 microphones during rehearsals. This now gives children the opportunity to learn about sound by physically getting involved.  Paddy, Hugo and Samson have been helping out recently and have been doing a great job.

We are also recording all of our rehearsals (learning audio recording skills) and mostly videoing as well. This is essentially so the artistic team can see how we are progressing, as they cannot be there.

Yesterday - I purchased a DMX Controller for the children to start to learn lighting.  Whilst our lights are still on the ground - it gives the children to learn how to daisy chain the lights and which end of what cord goes where :) 

I am hoping to give all “non performers” the opportunity to learn a bit of lighting and sound as well as other important areas of stagecraft.

CURRICULUM DAY - 30th MAY - WE HAVE A BIG REHEARSAL 9am-1pm

This will be a fun day and the first opportunity we get to have a play as a full company.  Jho (and maybe Lilli) will be in with masks and it will be kind of like our “Harry Potter Sorting Hat Day”  We will make decisions on who will be what animal on this day.

I welcome the involvement of any “Non Performers” as I will set up lights and sound for them to start to play with (and it is important that they just play).

Show fees have already allowed us to purchase lights, sound and secure costumes and sets.

11.30- 12:15 ENSEMBLE DANCING  / Chorey  SPLIT GROUPS
