Templestowe District Cross Country carnival

Congratulations to all our students who competed in the Templestowe District Cross Country carnival at Ruffey Lake Park yesterday. It was a tough, with plenty of ups and downs to test the fitness of the competitors - a little different to our relatively flat school course!

Hamish (5/6B) won the 12/13yr boys event, Sierra (5/6E) finished 2nd in 12/13yr girls, Charlie (5/6B) finished 2nd in 11yr boys and Molly (3/4M) finished 3rd in the 10yr girls event.

We had a number of students finishing in the top 10 and qualifying for the Maroondah/Manningham Division Cross Country carnival at Yarra Valley Racecourse on Tuesday June 7.

Our Kilometre Club started last week and will run at 8:45 each school morning. Come along to run a few laps - it's a great way to get warmed up and ready for your school day and help build your fitness for your next running event.

Beanie survey

Along with our new puffer jackets (available to buy now from PSW sizes 4-8 and sizes 10-18), we will be introducing a school beanie for this winter.

Please help us by taking a minute to pick you and your child's preferred style. The survey will be open until midnight on Monday 23 May. We've had plenty of responses already, so make sure you vote if you want your voice heard.

The single-question survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QKK7V7T

Working bee

Thank-you to the families who attended our work bee last Sunday.  We a productive morning of painting, washing and moving more mulch than I've ever seen in my life. It was hard work but well worth it and we celebrated with morning tea afterwards.

The working bees are critical to helping keep our school safe and in good condition for our students and I'd encourage all families to try to attend at least one during the year.

Enjoy your weekend,
