Introducing the Committees of the Trustees 

The work of the Trustees is enhanced and deepened by four committees, the membership of which is generously supported by members of the community and leaders in our schools. 

1. Safeguarding Committee 

The primary role of the Safeguarding of Children and Adults at Risk Committee is to oversee the implementation of the Child Safe Policy of Kildare Ministries where developing a culture of safety is paramount.  The Committee will also oversee the development of the Adults at Risk Policy and make recommendations on its implementation. The committee assists the Trustees to meet its Constitutional obligations and to provide a ‘line of sight’ to the ministries and their Boards. The committee meets three times a year.

2. Mission and Ministry Committee 

The Mission and Ministry Committee is formed to support the work of the Mission Leader and the Trustees commitment to Governance and Leadership for mission.  Its role is to develop the KM narrative through its vision, mission, strategic direction and through formation aimed at maturing faith leadership and governance. Steeped in the Catholic tradition it will ensure that all our formation programmes are embedded in scripture allowing for the development and maturity of each participant’s faith journey and grounded in sound adult learning pedagogy so as to instil a heart for mission in all who are connected to Kildare Ministries. The committee meets each term.

3. Finance and Audit Committee 

The Canonical Statutes and the Civil Constitutions of Kildare Ministries require the setting up of a finance committee to oversee the financial matters of the Trustees and its ministries. This has been a long standing committee which helped set up Kildare Ministries.

4. Governance and Policy Committee

The Governance and Policy committee assists the Trustees to meet its responsibilities set out in the Statues and the Constitution, through the development of policies, procedures and risk management.  It aligns the work of the strategic intentions and priorities by developing foundation documents that assists the ministries in its governance obligations
