MATHEMATICS

COMPETITIONS

I'm pleased to acknowledge the students who have been nominated to participate in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) and Problem Solving Challenge competitions.

Participants in the CAT: Riley Cox, Adelle Bott, Bianca De Maria, Harneer Singh, Emily Birch, Caterina De Maria and Ethan Prescott.

Participants in the Challenge competition: Adelle Bott, Ella Chessells, Max Fleri, Riley Cox, Pasquale Zappia, Harneer Singh and Emily Birch.

These challenges consist of six problem-solving questions. Students work independently to solve the questions over three weeks. Students will also meet for one period per week and work collaboratively with a partner.

Term 3 offers the opportunity for students to compete against students from all over Australia in a further two competitions.

Good luck to all students.
