Touch Carnival
Thursday the 5th of May saw approximately 50 of our students represent the College at the Southern All Schools Touch Carnival at Jubilee Park. Four teams consisting of Year 7 and 8 girls and boys teams, as well as Year 9 and 10 girls and boys teams played against schools from across the Riverina. Some quality Touch Football skills were on display from our students who dominated the majority of their round games. All four teams made it through to the semi-finals in some close games where Kildare’s deference was tested. We continued our winning form making it through to the grand finals. The Year 7 and 8’s girls team narrowly lost their grand final, however, will still progress to the next stage of the competition. The Year 7 and 8’s boys team, Year 9 and 10’s girls team and the Year 9 and 10’s boys teams all won their grand finals and came out as Southern All Schools Touch Champions.
Congratulations to all four teams who represented the College superbly and will progress to the next stage in Sydney. The NSW All Schools State Final will be held early Term 3 in August. We wish these teams the best of luck in Sydney.
A huge thank you to Cohen Benson, Lachlan Cole, Lachlan Field, Diezel Watson and Jag Ashcroft who volunteered their time to referee in between their own Touch games on the day.
