Over the past 3 weeks we have reviewed some old topics and introduced some new ones.

Reading: Our whole class focus has been Inferring and independently we have been working on building our reading stamina.

Writing: We reviewed the structure of Persuasive Text and begun writing Narratives with the short film Pigeon Impossible as our stimulus.

Maths: Our Number focus is on effective strategies for addition including, turn around, count on, partitioning (build to 10), doubles & near doubles. Our Measurement & Geometry focus is 2D and 3D shapes.

On Monday 16th May we will have Ms Hope Baumann join our grade for 4 weeks while she completes her teaching placement. Hope is third year student at La Trobe Shepparton, she is studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education. Hope will be taking small groups and whole class lessons as part of her placement. We are so excited for her to join us!
