Principal's Report
Dear Families,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Mother’s Day catching up with family and friends.
CROSS COUNTRY
Monday was a beautiful day for a walk or run in the bush. Despite the mosquitoes being out in full force our cross country was a great success. Thanks to Craig and Jayne for all their preparation. Students are to be commended upon their efforts. It was wonderful to see so many family members come along to cheer on the students.
We have several of our students who have qualified for the Goulburn Murray Division Cross Country which will be held at Princess Park, Shepparton on Friday 13th. The first event will be marshalled at 11.50am.

NAPLAN
This week students in Grade 3 and 5 have been participating in the online NAPLAN tests. The NAPLAN tests assess knowledge and skills in Literacy and Numeracy. The results of these tests provide information to teachers and parents which can be then used to support the teaching and learning programs. By analysing results, teachers can adjust teaching strategies to provide appropriate support or identify students who would benefit from enrichment activities. Students were required to write a Narrative about a character who was brave. Below is the stimulus.
SCHOOL COUNCIL
Monday 16th May is our next school council meeting. Finance at 6pm and School Council at 6.30pm.
BREAKFAST CLUB
Numbers were a bit light on this morning for Breakfast Club, so an announcement was made in the school yard, and we had a few more takers who enjoyed a piece of toast or spaghetti on toast.
COVIDSafe Practices
As you are aware we have recently had students, parents and staff members who have contracted COVID. We encourage families to be very vigilant with the Rapid Antigen Testing. There is also quite a nasty cold going around. If your child is unwell pleased do not send them to school. Currently we are finding it difficult to find replacement teachers. This may mean combining classes at some times throughout the day.
SCHOOL TOURS & ENROLMENTS
Last Thursday and Friday we conducted several school tours. It was a great opportunity for families to see through our school and for us to meet some prospective new parents and students.
Enrolments are now open for children who start Foundation in 2023. Parents of existing families who have a child to start in 2023, please ring the office so an enrolment form can be forwarded to you.
Have a great weekend,
Regards Heather
