From the Library

Thank you to our school community who visited Book Fair last week and added some wonderful books to their home library. We sold over $6,500 worth of books and in return we can purchase almost $2000 worth of books for our school library!! Just incredible and this allows all of our students to access new exciting resources. I cannot thank our volunteer parents enough for your support and time to run a successful and fabulous fair.

If you missed our Book Fair don’t despair, Book Club for Term 2 is out now and open for orders. Students have brought home a catalogue full of fabulous books. Orders can be placed online via the Loop system or by sending the correct money in a named envelope with your completed order form to the school office. Orders are due by 1st of June.

On Wednesday 25th May we had National Simultaneous Storytime. Staff and students read Family Tree by Josh Pyke at 11am, along with Kinders, Schools and local Libraries around the nation. The Australian Library and Information Association choose a picture story book by an Australian author and illustrator each year to promote the value of reading and literacy. This is always a special literacy time across Australia.

Happy Reading!
