Welcome to 2022!
Welcome back to everyone for hopefully a fun and productive 2022. We look forward to holding many events and fundraisers through the year and look forward to meeting new families along the way.
Ormond Primary School has an active parents' committee called Parents and Friends.
Our role is to assist parents and students to feel welcome and engaged during their time at primary school, and also to help raise much needed funds for the school.
We always welcome new members and new ideas. We are looking for new members to join our committee in 2022. The committee roles are outlined in the attached document. If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information, please contact Heather Hosken
Annual call out for Class Representatives!
The main responsibilities of a Class Rep are to:
- Communicate with the parents in your individual class concerning what’s going on at the school and in your child’s Year Level.
- Foster a sense of community and inclusion for parents in your Year Level.
- Welcome new families to your Year Level.
- Provide support to your child’s teacher.
- Provide assistance to Parents & Friends with up coming events.
We are still looking for Class Reps for the following classes 3B, 5A, 5B, 5C, 6A, 6B and 6C.

2nd Hand Uniform Sale
There will be a second hand school uniform sale on Friday 4th March prior to the Welcome Picnic (3:15pm to 4:30pm) outside the portable classrooms.
This is a great opportunity to get some uniform for the year ahead.
Please bring small change, as we will be unable to accept credit cards or large notes.
Welcome Picnic - Friday 4 March
Welcome in the new school year and meet families, staff and teachers at this fun event held in the school's grounds. Bring a picnic for your household, or enjoy food provided from two food trucks. This is a ticketed event and you must purchase a ticket to attend.
Tickets are only $3 per person and will help us raise much needed funds for the school. Please see more details below.

Relevant COVID restrictions apply to attendees. Adults must check in via the QR code on entry, and show their double vaccination status to volunteers.
Easter Raffle
The annual Easter Raffle is coming soon! Stay tuned for further information.
A casual clothes day is TBC on Friday 1st April where student can donate Easter eggs & related items to fill the hampers in lieu of a gold coin donation.
Mother’s Day Coffee Van – Friday 6th May

Parent Comedy Night
The long awaited Parent Comedy Night from 2021 is now rescheduled to go ahead on Wednesday 25th May. Please contact P&F for more information.
