2022 Opening College Liturgy

& Blessing of House Candles

The last two years have challenged us as a community and we have had to let go of many of our own plans and dreams. But what helps us to go on and not give up has been the constant presence of a God who holds us, a God who sustains us, a God who loves us. Our Opening College Liturgy reminded us that we can always hope in God’s steadfast love.

So, as we look to 2022 together, we know that we are not abandoned.

While plans have changed, we can learn to find joy and hope in the new story we are now living. And we know we can look to Jesus Christ who came to bring hope and healing to the world.

What possibilities might this mean for us as we;

  • make a fresh start?
  • What can we dream today?

The House Candles were blessed today so when we meet in our House groups we are reminded that God is our light and guides us at all times.

Thank you to Fr Paddy and Fr Jomer for leading our celebration with the assistance of the Year 12 Student Representative Council.
