SCHOOL FEES 2022

School fee accounts will be sent out in week 3 of term 1.

DO YOU HOLD A HEALTHCARE CARD?

For families who hold a current HealthCare Card, you may be eligible for a substantial subsidy off your school fees.  Please contact the office if you would like more information or to request an application form to receive the Camps, Sports and Excursion Funding from the government.  Only new families to the CSEF need to apply.  Those who applied last year will roll over to this year.

Criteria is as follows:

The applicant must be one of the following:

  1.  a parent/carer (of the relevant student) who is: a temporary foster carer; or a student is 16 years or older and holds a valid concession card (such as a Youth Allowance Health Care Card or Disability Support Pension Card).
  2. on the first day of term one (31 January 2022) or the first day of term two (26 April 2022) an eligible beneficiary of either a Centrelink Health Care Card or a Pensioner Concession Card; or
  3. an eligible beneficiary of a Veterans Affairs Gold Card; or

Please submit applications to the school prior to the end of term 1.

Parents/carer who receive a carer allowance on behalf of a student, or any other benefit or allowance not income tested by Centrelink, are not eligible for the CSEF payment unless they also meet the above eligibility criterion.

Government payment amount is $125 per child for primary students.

If there's shared custody:  The CSEF system only allows one application per student. Parents/carers in shared custody situations (who both hold a concession card) must decide beforehand who applies for the CSEF at the school on behalf of the relevant student.  The CSEF is for the benefit of the parent who is in receipt of the CSEF.  Schools are not required to arbitrate this decision.

PRAYER

"We have so much for which to be thankful."

Saint Mary MacKillop, 1875

Gracious God, we come to you at the beginning of this school year with our many feelings, expectations, fears and hopes.

Help us to remember, however, we have the comforting assurance from you: "I will always be with you: "I will always be with you."

Loving God, for all of us this is a time of transition. It is transition from the work and leisure of summer back to the classroom.

It is transition from time spent with family and friends.

Give us patience with ourselves as we transition as well as patience with one another.

Faithful God, this beginning is totally new for some among us.

May St Laurence’s always be a place of welcome and inclusion where everyone is appreciated and respected.

Give us a new perspective to see persons, events, and teaching as an invitation to develop the many gifts you have given us to be used in service for others.

Finally, God, give to each member of the St Laurence Community the seven gifts of the Spirit: wisdom, understanding, right judgment, courage, knowledge, reverence, and awe and wonder.

Amen.
