RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Be what you receive - Receive what you are

Last Thursday four teachers from Sacred Heart school attended a Religious Education Professional Development  Day in Warrnambool. St Pius hosted Liturgy 100 - ‘A fresh look at Catholic Tradition and Practice.’

The liturgical tradition of the Church carries a person’s faith throughout their life. This is why our resources and formation need to be carefully chosen for school communities so that they are theologically, liturgically, musically, and pastorally sound for the Catholic context. In the interest of building pastorally strong communities, we should ensure that we hold much of our tradition in common.

It is hoped that every student will leave Sacred Heart school with a solid understanding of how liturgy is central to our story, it engages with our lives and connects us in prayer to a life-giving faith, experienced in the community.
