"Winning is something but participation is everything"

CONGRATULATIONS XAVIER HOUSE

The weather at the start of the day looked a bit miserable and wet... and then it got sunny... then wet again... then we had to take a rain break... then it was sunny. Classic Melbourne.

Overall our Athletics Day went off fantastically due to the absolutely awesome efforts put in by the students of Sacred Heart. The way they approached all the activities, their encouraging nature towards each other and their joy for competition was demonstrated awesomely throughout the day! Sacred Heart should be very proud of itself.

A massive thank you, once again, to all the parents who helped out throughout the day as well. As always, these days do not run nearly as smoothly without extra helping hands.

At the end of the day, Xavier house - the reigning champions (from 2019... thanks COVID) continued their winning streak, taking out the shield again with 738 points.

DENDY ATHLETICS

Congratulations to our Dendy Athletics team that have qualified to compete on Tuesday 30th August at Duncan MacKinnon.

We send in a team of 60 students to compete in a variety of events, including 100m, 1500m, Triple Jump, High Jump, Discus and many others...

Yours in sport,
