Intermediate Girls Table Tennis

The Intermediate girls table tennis team had spent the past four weeks training to compete at the Monash Division table tennis tournament. Brentwood’s teams were well prepared to play both the singles and doubles matches against our local schools. Brentwood entered two girls’ teams into the tournament, and they played a full round robin throughout the day.

A Team members - Kristina Dew, Lulu Yao, Angie Nikolova, Xiao Xu

B Team members - Mingxin Liu, Claire Wang, Kai Xunn Leong, Wei Xuan Quah, Elaine Yang

Both teams, coached by Year 12 student Andrew Park, defeated all our local schools. Well done!

Brentwood’s A Team defeated Wheelers Hill SC B team 6-0, John Monash SS A team 6-0, Brentwood SC B team 6-0, and the Wheelers Hill SC A team 6-0.

Brentwood’s B Team defeated Wheelers Hill SC A team 6-0, Wheelers Hill SC B team 5-1 and John Monash SS A team 3-3 (6-6, 121 points – 119 points). Brentwood’s B team were only defeated by Brentwood’s A team.

These amazing results have now qualified our A team to progress to compete at the EMR competition held in term 4, on October 26. A fantastic achievement!
