National Emergency Medal awarded

Recently, Mr Hefferan (our NCS Grounds and Maintenance Manager) was presented with a National Emergency Medal. This was awarded to him, along with other members of the Currarong RFS Brigade and other South Coast region brigades, for service during the 2019-2020 bushfires. Our congratulations and thanks go to Mr Hefferan and the local brigades for their valuable contribution during this challenging season.

Mr Fairbairn's retirement

As a courtesy, I am bringing to the attention of all members of our NCS community that Mr Jeff Fairbairn has informed the School Board of his intention to resign from his role as Business Manager by the conclusion of the 2022 school year. The Board have been advertising for a Business Manager to assume this role after Mr Fairbairn’s departure from our school. Mr Fairbairn has faithfully served Nowra Christian School for 11 years, ensuring that we have remained in a financially secure position. He will continue in his current role until suitable arrangements have been finalised for a new Business Manager to assume this very important task within our school. We will, of course, provide a further update when more precise details are available. In the meantime, we would appreciate your prayers for the location of a suitable candidate to assume this role and also your prayers for Mr Fairbairn and his wife as they contemplate life beyond our school.
