Student Achievements

Kalinda Kids shine!

Kalinda Kids shine!

Every day Kalinda kids are achieving great things in their classroom and yard, but we know that outside of school they are kicking goals as well (literally and figuratively)!

If your student has an achievement that you would like to share please send to Mrs. Hopkins so that we can celebrate them in the newsletter! Whether it is a sporting achievement, Karate grade, Cub badge or amazing new skill - we want to share it with our community.

Charlotte the Artist

Charlotte L. from 6B created a beautiful pencil drawing to celebrate Youth Month at EACH. Her artwork is displayed at the Nunawading Community Hub’s Craft Space. The theme for this competition was “Future Hopes” and Charlotte’s illustration shows a puppy in training looking towards the future guide dog it hopes to become. The Luke family actually foster Guide Dog Victoria puppies before they begin their final Guide Dog training.

For her fabulous effort, Charlotte was awarded a certificate and gift vouchers from Artshed Online, Strike Bowling and Hoyts – as well as the opportunity to share her artwork with the community.

Well done, Charlotte!

Long distance champs!

Submitted by mum Rhiannon

Adeline (5W) and Jack D (3RL) (with older brother and former Kalinda student Hamish - Class of 2020) tonight completed a distance swim at Paul Sadler Swimland that we would like to share with you.

Jack and Hamish completed a 3km swim without stopping in 1 hour 10 minutes. Adeline completed a 5km swim without stopping in just under 2 hours.

A huge achievement for all three of them that we thought school would like to hear about!

Tennis superstars

Submitted by proud mums Marianne and Beth

Ollie & Aidan W, along with Jace B-A from Grade 5 (& ex-Kalinda student, big brother Jonty B-A) played in their tennis semi-final today for Burnt Bridge Tennis Club. The match was at Selby against the #1 team and although they didn’t get the win, they didn’t let the other team get it easily and really showcased how far they have each developed this season!
