SSV Lacrosse Finals (Intermediate and Senior)

On Friday Aug 26th two intrepid MGC Lacrosse teams headed off to Fawkner Park for the SSV Lacrosse Finals. In this new schools format of the game teams are smaller and the field shorter, allowing for lots of on ball time and a lot of running! A range of schools from across the state competed and it was a great day out, with MGC finishing runners-up in both divisions. Congratulations – you represented the school amazingly as always!

Year 10 Introduction to Exercise Physiology

The Year 10’s have been busy this semester learning about creating training programs as well as how the body works to supply oxygen to the muscles for energy production. They have participated in several strength and fitness sessions up at Crossfit Richmond with Adam and Kath learning about safe lifting technique, developing their own fitness and just generally having fun! We are looking forward to a new set of challenges next term, with a different suite of sessions at Richmond Rec Centre – can’t wait!
