Mamma Mia!

Congratulations to everyone involved in Mamma Mia- four sold-out shows at the Centenary Theatre in Williamstown. What a joy it was to see students on stage and a live audience after two years of cancelled productions. I would especially like to acknowledge our Year 12’s who committed to Mamma Mia, despite the delayed dates from the original…

Trev’s Tribute

It is our honour to acknowledge the contributions of our Technical Director, Mr Trevor Howlett, to the Performing Arts at MGC. He has been the Technical Director since our very first musical production way back in 1998, of both our biannual Musical Productions and our student-run House Productions. Trev works tirelessly to make our shows come alive and ensure that students can be seen and heard. He spends hours on our lighting, audio and set design, and most importantly, trains and mentors our student crew so that they can have the opportunity to operate all the technical equipment. He also does a thousand other jobs to make sure our shows always run smoothly. Over the past two years, he has been overseeing the technical requirements for our new Auditorium, ensuring that it will be a state-of-the-art facility for MGC. Our shows usually coincide with Trev working on his birthday in August, just another example of his dedication and sacrifice for our Performing Arts family. We would like to thank Trev for all his hard work and support over the years we can’t believe that this is his last year of Productions at MGC. It has been a privilege to work with him and we are forever grateful. He will be missed and impossible to replace.

For the last time, “Chookas!”.

Please note that due to the wealth of photographs taken over the course of the MGC production, we are still processing our collection. We will make updates to this gallery along the way and we'll publicise when these updates have been made.
