It’s been a fortnight of activities. First the Dowerin Field Days, then the School Ball and Country Week this week. Students looked fantastic at the Ball and it was great to see behaviour appropriate to the venue and event. Well done to everyone who organised and participated in the events.
The interruption to the normal routine, has allowed us to include some extra activities. In Wellbeing class last week Year 11 students played a trust and communication game, and today students enjoyed the sunshine and played Scrabble outdoors.
We have continued preparations for an Open Day display and hope that you are able to attend and call past if you get a chance. It was interesting talking to people at our display at the Dowerin Field Days, as many ex students were keen to tell their stories of attending and stressed what a formative and positive experience the College of Agriculture had been. It was clear that some of the practices of old, would not fit with the modern expectations of safety and inclusivity but the intention to provide a varied and well-rounded education remained the same.
COVID and all manner of colds and flu still seem to be swirling around and challenging the timetabling for staff and students. Thank you all for your understanding and patience during this unchartered time.
Stay safe.
