Healthy Kids Learn Better

Dear Parents/Guardians,

A reminder spring is here. Students who suffer from hay fever allergies may require medication at school, if they have not been medicated at home.

Health Centre staff can only provide normal/Saline eye wash and cool compress. Consider having antihistamine at school for your child, whether it is tablet form, eye drops or nasal spray.

You can download a Medication Authority Form, from Compass and provide medication in it’s original packaging with expiratory date displayed.

This will prevent calls from school disturbing your work day.

DOCUMENTATION

  • DOCUMENTATION - It is of utmost importance that our school is provided with up to date information. Documentation that is required has been sent to the relevant families, most recently via email. Please complete and return to the Health Centre as soon as possible.

MEDICATION

  • MEDICATION - Occasionally, students require medication while they are at school. In order to administer medication to students a Medication Authority form needs to be completed with a parent’s signature. Medications are to be provided to the school in original packaging with pharmacy labels intact. Tablet sleeves need to have the full name of the medication and expiry date intact.

AMBULANCE COVER

  • AMBULANCE COVER - A reminder, in the event of an emergency, either by accident / injury or illness, the college will call an ambulance. Please ensure your child is covered by ambulance cover if you do not have a Health Care Card. The costs incurred for an ambulance will be the responsibility of the respective parents/guardians.

COVID 19

Please be vigilant with COVID 19 sign & symptoms, if your child is unwell do not send them to school until the symptoms have resolved.

We need to keep each other safe so life can return to some sort of normality.

Many thanks,

The Health Centre Team
