Ziplines from around the world

The Year 8 SEAL Mathematics class have been studying Pythagoras' Theorem and Trigonometry.  As a culmination to this topic, students were required to create their own zipline and use Trigonometry to calculate lengths and angles.  Some poor Barbies had a crash landing!

They then researched six real life ziplines from around the world and were required to use Trigonometry to calculate missing pieces of information.

Some students then completed an extension activity on Asheville Canopy Adventures in North Carolina.
