Discovery Day

Wangaratta High School celebrated the first day of Spring with approximately 40 grade 5 and 6 students from local rural primary schools. Our annual Discovery Day gives these students a glimpse into a day in the life of a High School Student.

Ran by our Prefects, Ethan Gregory of Year 12, student leaders and student helpers, who worked together to create a fun filled day, Students were put into tribes and set off on a scavenger hunt to start the morning off! Students participated in several activities during the day which included Science, Maths, Robotics and Music. Our VCAL students also cooked a BBQ, showing our future students how our WHS Community collaborates with one another. 

Wangaratta High School are looking forward to welcoming these students next year into Year 7.

A special mention and thank you to our Corporate Sponsor, OfficeChoice as they kindly donated the lollies for our prizes. We would also like to thank Annie from Haymes Paint Shop as they kindly donated paint for us, this  came in handy for our paint wall on the day. Our WHS community appreciated both businesses for their generosity and kindness.
