From the Principal

Dear parents and carers
Welcome to week 7
It is incredible to think that we have under 10 days till the 2022 school year concludes. A reminder that the year 6 cohort has their last day on Monday, December 12 and their Graduation is that evening. The remainder of the year levels finish up on Wednesday, December 14 at 3 00pm.
Thank you to our year 6's who shared their learning with us for the final time at today's Assembly. This group of students were in year 3 when I started here as Principal. It is hard to believe that four years has past so quickly and that in a a short time they will be graduating. I know they will be missed around the school and we are thankful for each child's commitment to making our school a better place.
Congratulations to our students who were nominated for an ArchDRadio 2022 Podcasting Award. The ceremony was conducted at Sacred Heart College last Sunday. Our nominees were: Amelia Nguyen, Bailey Seiboth for individual "gongs", Amelia Nguyen, Malayiah Pezos and Emma Davill for a group award. Being nominated is a tremendous achievement, as entries come from over 20 schools across the state. An extended congratulations goes to Bailey, who won his category: Student Voice Award.
Congratulations to students from year 3 -6, who represented St Gabriel’s at the SACPSSA Athletics Carnival. Students thoroughly enjoyed being part of a team and being active participants in Athletic events. Overall St Gabriel’s placed fourth in both the boys and girl’s divisions.
A special mention and congratulations to Eric Gray, who won the Year 6 Boys Championship for a consecutive year, a fantastic result for Eric and St Gabriel’s.
