Attention all students who will be in Years 9, 10 or 11 next year!

St Philip’s College is planning a nine-day trip to the Great Barrier Reef (Orpheus Island) and the tropical rainforest in the Wet Tropics area north of Townsville in the second week of the September/October holidays next year. The dates of the trip run from 30th of September to 8th of October 2023. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in the amazing reef and rainforest environments, and to learn about these wild and beautiful places with the help of experts in the field.

Students will have the opportunity to stay at the research station on Orpheus Island for four days, three nights, followed by three days in the rainforest at Paluma Educational Centre where we will continue exploring the environment, conducting research, solving problems for a sustainable future, and representing our experiences in a creative and interesting way.

In Week 2 at 6pm in the Fred Shed, we will deliver a presentation to interested students and parents where you can learn more about the trip.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
