Principal's Message

Diverse ~ Accepting ~ Inclusive Community

Dear Parents, Families and Friends,

As Principal, there is always a range of different feelings when our Year 12 students make their final debut at school. In the past week, we celebrated our Year 12 Academic Graduation Ceremony, followed by the Year 12 Valedictory dinner with the graduates, their parents, and their teachers. It was an exceptional event.

Following these two memorable occasions, our Director of Boarding, Rob McArthur, hosted the Boarder's Nights of Nights last Saturday evening. It was an evening for our Boarders, many parents, boarding and academic staff and our newly announced Outback Achiever, Mr Tony Smith. It was a fantastic night with a delicious dinner cooked by our master Chef Ketut by the school Pool.

The St Philip's College Soiree was held on Wednesday this week in The Minnamurra Hall. We were spoiled by the vast array of exceptional musical talent led by Kristina Kidd, Ed Nicholson, and Peter and Nicola Gilham. We were also treated to the Year 10 drama class self-devised play, 'The Fractured Mind', a thriller and mystery to end their Semester 2 studies.

We sincerely wish our Year 12 graduates all the best in their future endeavours as we now enjoy a hectic end to another school year.

Enjoy the 'cool' in picturesque Central Australia.

Be Kind Always.
