2HK Maths: Place Value
2HK has been learning about Place Value. Here's how we played a Place Value Card Game: each player draws one card and places it on the game board. Whoever creates the largest 4-digit number wins! Students kept a tally of their results. It was wonderful to see students cooperating.
2HK Speaking and Listening: “What’s in Your Bag?”
Each student has selected some special things such as photographs and toys that say something about themselves.
They place the items in the bag and share them with the class to help their classmates get to know them a little better.
Grade 2 students created some fabulous Fibonacci inspired spirals using nature:
