Congratulations to the Class of 2020!

An Initial Survey - based on January First Round Tertiary Offers

There were 64,798 VCE students who applied for courses through VTAC for 2021. VTAC revealed that the average Victorian ATAR was 68.14%. Huntingtower achieved a Median ATAR of 88.90% - an impressive result.

After the introduction of December and January Offers last year, the impact of Covid-19 led to the reintroduction of the First Round Offers system. Huntingtower’s record of fifteen consecutive years with 100% Tertiary Offers via the VTAC First Round Offers was again highlighted with the return to the old system and the 2020 cohort achieved another wonderful 100% in First Round Offers.

These tables provide a summation of institutional and career category selections for 2021 and previous years.

It is interesting to compare the career directions of our students over the last twenty years from the above table. This is based on the Career Categories that we first study in our

Year 8 Towerworks sessions.

Admin/Business/Eco was our most popular career category, with 27.4% taking up this option. This was the fifteenth time that this category has been our most popular. Health Sciences followed with 17.9%. The Computing/Media category scored its highest rating since 2006. Its 16.9% was over 10% up on the previous year. Arts courses dropped to 13.8% – the lowest since 2012. With the addition of new requirements for education courses there were fewer offers made to students; indeed, Huntingtower had just 3.5% take up the option for Education Courses.

The Huntingtower Towerworks Program for 2021 has begun with Year 8.1 and 8.3 completing their first session. Year 9 will run in semester 2, while Year 10 will have sessions all year commencing with the Morrisby Profile. Year 11 and Year 12 will have sessions each cycle with a focus on the VTAC Process and  the Transition and Preparation for the World of Work.
