Malala Fundraiser
Below is a report written by our Year 3 students (Anna, Alena, Eliza and Vivien) who oraganised the Malala Fundraiser last week.
You may have recently heard about Malala Yousafzai, us four girls – Anna, Alena, Eliza & Vivien went around the school for a gold coin swap.
Malala Yousafzai is a powerful woman who stands up for girl’s rights. She got shot in the head because she wanted girls to go to school. But she still survived!
We did a fundraiser on the 4th of the December, a Friday, because we thought this woman was amazing – with her powerful speeches and interesting life story. That is why we thought it would be a great idea to go to class rooms and organize a fundraiser for the Malala Foundation to raise money for girl’s right. We loved doing it and we made lots of money for Malala.
At the end of the fundraiser we collected $469.90! We are very proud of this amazing achievement.

Working Bee Thanks
Many thanks to all the people who turned up to sweep, weed, tidy and shovel ad prune—the school grounds look amazing.

Jams and Preserves
In early 2020, the Preserve team were busy making products with the beautiful, local summer, winter and spring produce, in preparation for Art4All. With no Art4All, and lots of gorgeous products, the Preserve team wrapped and gifted a selection of wares for our teachers, school nurses, support staff, grounds keeper, librarian and school council as a show of our appreciation.
The Year 6 students delivered the gifts and thanked the teachers and staff on behalf of our school community.

Mangoes
This year, our mango fundraiser was our best ever! We sold a total of 344 trays (over 100 more than previous years) to raise a total of $2367 for the school. Monies raised will go towards the purchase of more home readers.
Mangoes will be delivered to the school Monday 14 December – we are waiting for the mango farm to confirm our delivery timeslot. Once confirmed, an email will be sent to all those who placed an order with pick-up details.
