Deputy Principal Report

Rachael Anstee & Andrew Burgess

It has been a fantastic start to the year, with all students happy and engaged in classrooms. We have loved seeing their smiling faces each morning at the front gate. It has also been lovely seeing our parents and carers back in school grounds.

School Leaders

Our Year 6 School Leaders will be receiving their badges at our special assembly next week. It is always an exciting time for our school and a proud moment for the parents. You can just feel it is going to be a fantastic year with these students being our role models for the rest of our school.

School Clubs

Most of our extra-curricular clubs will commence from week 4. Please watch out for more information in the Newsletter throughout the term.

Drop and Go

It is early days but we are very happy with how smoothly the Drop and Go area is running. We do not recommend picking students up from Guineas Creek Road, as it can be quiet dangerous with the hill crest and narrow roads in this area.

Tips for Drop and Go!

  • Teach your child how to put on their seatbelt independently.
  • Have children ready to exit the car in the mornings. It is easier if children are given messages before arriving at school.
  • Please do not get out of your car in the Drop and Go line.
  • Drive as far forward as you can to assist us to avoid traffic congestion outside the school.
  • Be patient, especially in the afternoons.

Bike Safety

We are pleased to see so many of our students riding their bikes to and from school. Please remember, that it is a requirement by law that students wear a bike helmet at all times.

Photos for Preps and new students

Individual photos of all our preps and our new students is scheduled for Tuesday 9 February.  This is to update our school records. Photo Day for the whole school is in October.

Have a great week!
