art auction

Many thanks to all who participated in the 2020 Art Auction. We are delighted to have raised $2,293 for the school, which will help purchase new art materials for the art room among a range of other benefits. All up we had 228 artworks entered, many capturing students' feelings about the year 2020. Responses varied, from expressing sadness and frustration to finding silver-linings, but all were conveyed with such openness and honesty. Collectively they're a credit to our kids, the teaching staff who helped them process these feelings over the home-learning period, and our big--hearted school community.

Thank you to those fabulous adults among our community who responded to the challenge. In particular, the auction committee felt that education support worker Emilia Quagliarella's watercolour drawing so perfectly captured the challenges this year for students, teachers and families that we have presented it to the school as a memento of a momentous year. Keep out an eye out for it in the corridors when you're next able to visit!
