HOUSE SPORTS 2019

On Tuesday 18, and Wednesday 19 December, Murrumbeena will be holding its annual House Sports Carnival.

***There is no reserve date if it is raining, so the carnival will be cancelled if it’s too wet.***

The aim of the day is for students to have fun, whilst gaining points for their houses. Students will rotate through a number of activities that will involve teamwork and co-operation.

Students are encouraged to wear a t-shirt in their house colour on the day of their carnival or something to show what colour house they are in.

CONGRATULATIONS

Competing for Victoria at the recent national track and field championships run by School Sport Australia, Charlotte N. competed in three events at Lakeside Stadium.

On the Saturday, Charlotte competed in the 200m and made the finals for this event, finishing in 7th place and achieving a new personal best time. Therefore, she placed 7th out of all girls of her age in Australia- a huge achievement!

On Sunday, Charlotte had two events- 100m and 4 X 100m relay. She narrowly missed the final of 100m by 0.01second- extremely close.

This still meant that she placed 11th in all of Australia.

The highlight of Nationals for Charlotte was winning a gold medal in the 4 X 100m relay.

There is a collection of photos on the P.E noticeboard.

Congratulations Charlotte on a huge achievement!
