Duolingo Championship

We have no less than three students who have recently gained their French Golden Owls on Duolingo! They are Freesia Goh, Rachel Woon and Hesed She.

To achieve a Golden Owl, students need to have all the French skill levels, from top to bottom, on gold simultaneously. The way to do this, is to play on a daily basis, keeping skill levels on gold behind you as best you can. For more information, talk to one of our Golden Owl champions, who are pictured showing off their respective Golden Owls.

Chess Success!

On Friday July 22 our Junior Chess Girls’ team competed in an inter-school competition.  The students attending were Shalese Teo, Kelly Ta, Roselyn Kho, Irena Tan and Laura Hooi.  It was a very tight competition with the final result not being known till the end of the last round.  The girls did a wonderful job coming first at the end of the seven rounds.

Particular congratulations to Shalese who went through undefeated and was the top performing girl on the day.  Others also had a personal best for the number of wins.  The girls have now qualified for the State Finals!  Well done girls!
