Help Needed

The Library would like to hear from anyone who is able to help with shelving on a Monday /Thursday (morning or afternoon) this term. Please contact Mrs. Heath (library@standrews.vic.edu.au.). Young children are welcome. Working with Children Check is essential.

Accelerated Readers

More books have been added to the Accelerated Reader collection. There are some new titles as well as additions to popular series. Students from Years 4-6 are encouraged to check the shelves and new books displays to see what is available.

to see what else is available. If you have a suggestion for a title you feel should be included in future Premier’s Reading Challenge lists, please let library staff know and we can pass on your request.

Children’s Book Week Awards.

The announcement of this year’s Book Awards by the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) is getting closer. The Year 6 students are in the process of looking at and discussing the shortlisted picture story books. They will then select their own favourite and see whether the CBCA have chosen the same titles.
