SCHOOL PRODUCTION

XANADU

Xanadu has been cast and is in full rehearsal swing! We're only a couple of rehearsals in, but things are already taking shape.

Our Musical Director,  Miss Wells has been busy teaching our first two songs - "I'm Alive" and "Magic". Those who lived the Xanadu craze in the 80s are already humming just reading those titles.

Our ensemble have been busy creating the feel of the beach streets of Venice, California and our featured chorus and leads are bringing the Greek muses to life. 

Some of the cast have also been frequenting the local rollerskating rink to up their skills ahead of our skating numbers. The good folk at Victorian Skating Centre, right here in Lilydale, have been really good to us, so seeing as it's the year of leg warmers and roller skates, get down there and check out their facility some time.

XANADU PERFORMANCE DATES

• Thursday 13 August – Opening Night – 7 pm
• Friday 14 August – Second Show Night – 7 pm
• Saturday 15 August – Matinee – 1:30 pm
• Friday 16 August – Closing Night – 7 pm
