Virtual Class with Japan

With students in Japan!
Ten Year 7 students had a class with students in Japan on Friday 28th August, using web conference equipment.
Japanese students introduced themselves in English to Shepparton High students, saying their name, their age, what they like, what sports they like and so on.
In turn, our students talked about themselves in English in order to help the students in Japan to improve their English skill.
Here are comments by Shepparton High School students on being in the virtual class:
“I thought that it was really fun. I was very happy to meet people from Japan. It was great.” “I thought it was really cool and I would like to do it again!”
“It was nice to meet new people.” “The students were very nice and funny. They knew heaps of English words.” “It was great. I loved it so much.”
“I thought this class was cool. It was fun seeing Japanese students.” “It was nice to see the Japanese kids.” “it was a good class.”
“I thought it was a little awkward but also fun and really cool.”
We will continue to have a virtual class with Japan. The next class will be for Year 9 students at the end of Term 3.
