Renovation update:
The demolition aspect of this job has moved at a great pace, the ceilings are being removed as is some of the brick work, and all the office fixtures have gone. By Friday afternoon we expect the space to have been cleared of all that is going. There are interruptions with this when the power goes out, and when it gets too noisy to concentrate, requiring us to relocate to another space somewhere in the school. Please email any queries that you have as I can reply to those from wherever I am currently located!
Microsoft Skype-a-Thon 28th and 29th November:
As advised last week we will be one of three Australian schools as can be seen on the schedule below:

Thank you to those students who have already applied. The deadline will be just after you receive this newsletter. Students wishing to attend need to complete an online application form indicating if they have an idea for the event, or a question they wish to ask. This form is due by Thursday night at the latest. The signed Microsoft permission form attached to this newsletter must be handed in by the start of business on Friday – (please give to Mrs Fiona O’Shannessy).
This will be a one-off opportunity for students to engage with someone who works in such a critical global role with products that we all use every day. It will be a fabulous addition to attendees resumes!
We are offering all students at the Senior School, and Grade 5, the opportunity to be selected to participate. Miss Waldron and I will select the best requests.
Mrs Margaret Simkin
