Associate Principal, Operations Report

Communion Service
Next Wednesday, all members of the Senior School will attend the annual Communion Service in the Simons Auditorium. As a school in the Uniting Church tradition, the invitation to receive the bread and wine (grape juice!) is open to all but students have been advised to seek advice from parents if they are unsure whether to accept this invitation. Rev Angie Griffin, the Uniting Church Minister based in Hamilton, will lead our Service this year.
Staffing
I wish to advise parents that Mrs Elisha Nettleton has advised the Principal that she will not continue at the College after this term. Mrs Nettleton has given good service over several years now and in a range of areas: in Middle Years, at Year 6 level, in Digital Technology, in the Library and as Work Experience co-ordinator this year. Happily she will be able to sign off on the Year 10 Work Experience arrangements and activities before leaving. Last Monday, the Rowing Club enjoyed its end-of-season dinner and Mrs Nettleton’s role in overseeing that sport for the past two seasons was recognised. The strong position our Rowing Club is in is a testament to her efforts over those years.
We are grateful for all her contributions and wish her and her young family every good wish for the future.
