Golf Day
What a marvellous day was had on Sunday at the College Golf Day. Thanks to the huge efforts of the fabulous Rosie Mercer, Di Austin, Jodie Russell, Sarah Baker, Ashlyn Hiscock, Rosie Merrin and Anna Delany and the rest of the wonderful helpers, $1,630 was raised on the day. The response to the call out for parents to provide slices was extraordinarily generous and there was a vast array of delicious afternoon tea. Everyone is very busy and it is so appreciated that you all make the time to support the school by making something when needed. Everyone had a great day and they are already booking their spots for next year. This is an event that will keep on growing and is only possible due to the generosity and support of the Dunkeld Golf Club, its members including the Crawford family and our fantastic sponsors.
More Food for Friends
With great excitement we can announce that this year's major fundraising event will be a new edition of the College Cookbook "Food for Friends". We will have a hard act to follow given the success of the last cookbook which completely sold out of 3000 copies and is now a much sought after item. Over the next few weeks we will be sending out a letter requesting all new recipes. We are going to try to get this launched by Christmas so please pull out your family classics, your dinner party favourites and your baking best and start thinking about what you would like to submit for testing.
Also think about the providence of your recipe and any background anecdotes that you can send that will explain why this a family favourite. Watch this space!
