The annual  Brunswick Secondary College Awards Night was held on December 5. This annual event celebrates the academic achievements of students across Years 7 to 11. Additionally, students are acknowledged in award categories that reflect our school values.

At Awards Night, students are honoured with certificates to acknowledge their achievements and family are invited to witness the ceremony.  Heads of Learning present the awards for Academic Excellence in the relevant Learning Area,  while Year Level Coordinators present all Brunswick Values awards.  We congratulate each and every award recipient; they have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and dedication to their studies and also to the wider school community.  All recipients are listed below.  In total, 62 students received awards for 2019.

Awards Night attendees also enjoyed musical performances courtesy of Michiko Morita (Teacher - Keyboard) and some very talented music students,  while Jacqui Scott (Teacher - Food Studies) and the BSC Hospitality Crew expertly catered the event.  We take this opportunity to thank these teams for their significant contribution to the success of the Awards Evening event.

Academic Excellence Awards

The Academic Excellence Awards recognise students at every year level who has displayed outstanding results in a specific Learning Area.

Values Awards

Respect Award

The Brunswick Values Award for Respect recognises a student at each year level who displays exemplary regard for the feelings, rights and wishes of other people and things.

Responsibility Award

The Brunswick Values Award for Responsibility recognises a student at each year level who displays exemplary judgment, independent thinking and the ability to act justly.

Excellence Award

The Brunswick Values Award for Excellence recognises a student at each year level who displays the quality of being outstanding in a non-academic endeavour.

Achievement Award

The Brunswick Values Award for Achievement recognises a student at each year level who displays effort or courage in their endeavours or accomplishments.

Teamwork Award

The Brunswick Values Award for Teamwork recognises a student (or students) at each year level who display a cohesive or collaborative approach to their goals, or a helpful attitude towards others.

Persistence Award

The Brunswick Values Award for Persistence recognises a student at each year level who displays tenacity, overcoming challenges.

Contribution to the School Award

The Brunswick School Contribution Award recognises a student at each year level who has contributed to the benefit or advancement of the school.

Contribution to the Community Award

The Brunswick Community Contribution Award recognises a student at each year level who has contributed to the benefit or advancement of the community.
